Our trip to the medieval town of Kuldiga<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We continued our exploration tour through Latvia with a bus ride to Kuldiga<\/strong>, south of Kolka in the interior of the country. One <\/em>bus travel is slightly understated here, as there was no direct connection from Kolka. An alternative would have been to take the bus back to Riga for four hours, to take a direct connection to Kuldiga, but that would mean that we would have to drive part of the way there and back again and would be on the road much longer. So we decided to take the other option with regular buses between the individual towns. We had to change buses four times and drove first to Roja, then to Talsu, then to Sabile and from there we took the last bus to Kuldiga. We were surprised ourselves how relaxed and trouble-free the trip was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuldiga blew us away immediately. It is a small town (about 12.000 inhabitants) with a great medieval charm. Through the old town we went to a super cozy apartment, which was full of loving details from those days. We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. On the day of arrival, we enjoyed Latvian food in the restaurant - very similar to the food in Lithuania and just as delicious! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The widest waterfall in Europe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During our evening walk, just to see what's going on, we landed at the widest waterfall in Europe. I was really excited when we suddenly stood in front of it! Admittedly it is not really a waterfall because it is only 1,8-2m high, but still it was just great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
